Wellness Exams:
Wellness exams consist of evaluating the teeth and assessing the need for a dental, listening to the heart and lungs for any abnormalities, listening to the abdomen to ensure that there are appropriate gut sounds, checking the legs for any swelling or sensitivities and evaluating body condition scoring. This time is also used to discuss nutrition, regular fecal evaluations for parasite control, recommended deworming plans, screening for gastro-intestinal disturbances, and regular screening of bloodwork to check for anemia, infections, metabolic diseases, and systemic problems.

Vaccinations:
Horses need vaccines yearly, and sometimes twice a year. We have vaccination schedules for foals, adult horses, and pregnant mares. We can discuss the needs of your horse(s) and come up with a personalized schedule for your horse that keeps them protected from diseases and you happy!
Dentals:
Horses often need dental maintenance in order to ensure that they are chewing properly and getting the most nutrients from their food.
Hunter Stallion provides maintenance dentistry including examinations, teeth floating, as well as extractions and wolf teeth removal.
